To meet updated compliance requirements, we are updating how a set of ccTLDs are handled on our platform. This introduces two measures:
What’s changing
Contact Validation (email confirmation)
For these ccTLDs, when a domain holder email address is added for the first time, a confirmation email will be sent. Your customer will receive this email from Realtime Register (via our platform flow).
Action required: Make sure your branding is up to date, so the confirmation emails are clearly recognisable for your customers: Create a new brand
WHOIS Data Accuracy Reminder (WDRP-like yearly reminder)
Once per year, your customers may receive a WHOIS Data Accuracy Reminder email asking them to review and confirm/correct their registration data.
Action recommended: Customize the WDRP email template so the messaging matches your brand and support process: Customize the whois data accuracy reminder (WDRP) email
Why this matters:
These updates improve registration data quality and help ensure ongoing compliance, while keeping processes consistent across TLDs.
Full details (including the list of affected ccTLDs) are available here: NIS2 - Extended Contact Validation + annual data review
