We’ve added a new API endpoint to our Domain Transfer Service (DTS), making it easier for partners to manage domain transfers in a fully automated way.
With this update, domains can now be added directly to a DTS configuration via the API, removing the need to manually add domains through the portal. This enhancement is designed for customers who prefer an API-driven workflow and want to streamline their transfer processes.
Built for API-first workflows
Until now, domains needed to be added to a DTS configuration through the DTS interface in the control panel. With the new endpoint, resellers can now submit domains programmatically, keeping transfer workflows fully automated.
Using the new endpoint, partners can:
- Add one or multiple domains to a DTS configuration via the API
- Provide auth codes when adding new domains
- Update auth codes for existing domains in the same DTS configuration
This reduces manual steps and makes it easier to integrate DTS into existing systems and processes.
New DTS API endpoint
The new endpoint is available at:
https://dm.realtimeregister.com/dts/api/add-domains
Access to the endpoint is secured via an access token, which:
- Is generated per DTS configuration
- Is unique to that configuration
- Can be revoked or regenerated at any time
You can submit one or multiple domains in a single JSON request, optionally including auth codes. The API then confirms whether the request was successful or returns an error message.
How to get started
The Domain Transfer Service is available in the Realtime Register control panel: https://dm.realtimeregister.com/app/domains/dts
During the DTS setup wizard, and within the setup instructions of each DTS configuration, the API documentation for this endpoint is clearly listed. This allows partners to generate an access token and start using the API immediately, without additional support.
To use the new endpoint, simply generate an access token inside your DTS configuration and include it in your API requests, as documented in the interface. Like so:
