.xxx TLD No Longer Sponsored: Key Policy Updates

Following the renewed .xxx Registry Agreement (effective 20 November 2024), membership in the Sponsored Community is no longer required. This change simplifies registrations for .xxx domains. 

What you need to know 

.xxx is no longer a Sponsored TLD 
Membership Token data should no longer be sent for .xxx domains 
Policy updates apply to all four listed TLDs:

1. .xxx 

2. .adult 

3. .porn 

4. .sex 

Implementation Timeline 

Phase 1: Compatibility (20 May – 31 July 2025)
Domains with or without tokens accepted
No more serverHold for missing tokens 

Phase 2: Enforced Policy (1 August 2025)
Token data submissions will be rejected 
Updated Policies (Effective 1 June 2025)
