From 14 September 2026, Punktum dk will begin contacting registrants whose .dk domains are still under registrant management. These registrants will be asked to choose a registrar to manage their domains in future.
The first phase will target 5,000 randomly selected registrants with one .dk domain. Punktum dk plans to repeat this outreach quarterly and adjust the volume based on the impact on registrar and registry support.
Registrants with multiple domains will be contacted once bulk transfer of Auth-IDs is available, currently planned for Q4 2026. Registrants using VID will follow once Registry Lock is supported.
This is part of the wider transition of .dk to a registrar-managed model, where domain management moves from the registrant to their chosen registrar.
