The Event Recap
Nordic Domain Days 2026 has wrapped up, and Stockholm once again showed why this event remains such an important meeting point for the domain industry.
This year’s edition brought together more than 450 attendees from 77 countries, creating a strong mix of registries, registrars, resellers, hosting providers and industry experts from across the global domain ecosystem.
Realtime Register was proud to be one of the sponsors of the coffee breaks during the event, helping create space for the many conversations, introductions and catchups that make Nordic Domain Days more than just a conference agenda.
Yasin Boelhouwer, Berend van Dalfzen and Martin Spreer were there to represent Realtime Register during several days filled with partner meetings, familiar faces, new introductions and discussions both inside and outside the session rooms.
The programme covered many of the topics currently shaping the domain industry.
One session that stood out focused on thick versus thin registry models, where Kristian Ørmen from Internetstiftelsen shared why .se is removing postal addresses from its registry data. It was a strong example of how data minimisation and privacy are increasingly becoming practical operational choices within registry management.
Day two shifted more towards policy, abuse prevention and technical resilience.
Topics included trusted notifier models, DNS abuse mitigation, cybersecurity compliance, DNSSEC automation, crypto-agility and DNS hygiene. Across the discussions, one message became very clear: responsible domain management is becoming more connected, more technical and increasingly collaborative across the industry.
Of course, Nordic Domain Days is never only about the formal agenda.
The hallway conversations, fika breaks, partner catchups and evening events remain a big part of what makes the event work so well. It brings the domain community together in a way that is both professionally valuable and genuinely enjoyable.
A big thank you to Lars “LG” Forsberg and the entire Nordic Domain Days team for another strong edition. And thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us in Stockholm.
See you next year!
