Verisign Registrar Days EMEA 2026: Industry Insights, AI Discussions, and Valuable Connections in Prague.
From September 30 till October 1, Realtime Register attended the Verisign Registrar Days EMEA 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic. Hosted at the Fairmont Golden Prague, the two-day event brought together registrars, industry experts, and Verisign representatives from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to discuss developments shaping the domain name industry.
The agenda focused on several core themes, including the state of the domain name industry, emerging market trends, registrar tooling, marketing initiatives, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence on the digital landscape.
One of the most interesting aspects of the event was the discussion around how businesses and consumers continue to interact with digital identities.
While new technologies and AI-powered services are changing how users discover information online, domains remain a critical foundation for businesses, brands, and entrepreneurs. They continue to provide ownership, credibility, and control over an organisation’s digital presence.
For registrars, this means balancing innovation with reliability. Customers increasingly expect seamless automation, intuitive tooling, and actionable insights, while still relying on the stability and trust that established online identities provide.
The event also provided a broader look at trends shaping the domain ecosystem.
Understanding how end users discover, register, and use domain names remains essential for registrars looking to support customers effectively. Consumer expectations are evolving, and successful registrars will need to continue adapting their offerings, onboarding experiences, and value-added services to meet those changing demands.
These discussions reinforced the importance of helping customers move beyond simply registering a domain and towards building complete digital solutions around it.
Artificial intelligence was naturally a recurring topic throughout the event.
The conversations went beyond the usual AI hype and focused on practical questions facing registrars today:
While the long-term answers are still developing, it is clear that AI will influence many aspects of the domain ecosystem in the years ahead.
As valuable as the presentations were, one of the biggest benefits of attending Registrar Days remains the networking.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with long-time industry contacts, meet new partners, exchange experiences, and discuss challenges facing registrars across different markets.
Many of the most insightful conversations happen outside the presentation room, and Prague provided an excellent setting for continuing those discussions.
Events such as Verisign Registrar Days play an important role in bringing the registrar community together and creating opportunities for open discussion about the future of our industry.
We would like to thank the Verisign team for the invitation, organisation, and hospitality. We return home with new insights, fresh ideas, and valuable conversations that will help shape our approach in the months ahead.
We look forward to continuing those discussions and seeing many familiar faces again at future industry events!
